From the hills in the province of Piacenza in Emilia-Romagna, Northern Italy. The vineyards were planted in 1975 and taken over by Giulio Armani (winemaker of the famous La Stoppa Estate) in 2005. He has since planted more vines here, and makes traditional wines from local grape varieties.
For this wine the ripest grapes were fermented on skins for 1-2 weeks whereas the rest were pressed directly. The wine was then left to settle naturally over the winter before bottling. It is fresh & grippy with notes of flowers & yellow plums.
