Rafa Bernabé and his wife Olga set up the project in order to help protect local traditional viticulture, especially where there was a risk of some vineyards being sold to property speculators. Now run by the capable Andreas Carrull the vineyards are all dry grown, old bush vines with very small yields that run down to the sea on sandy soil.
This is a blend of Moscatel & Merseguera, with whole bunch maceration and aged in Tinajas (amphora) for 6 months. No sulphites added. This has delicious sweet & tangy stone fruit notes with lots of salinity & some grippy tannin, too.
