Chateau Barouillet is a family business going back eight generations, consisting of 45ha of parcels in and around Bergerac. Vincent Alexis pushed his father to convert into organic production, and since 2014 the whole estate is certified. He has since gone further with his approach, working naturally, minimising the use of sulphur (often not adding at all) and has started to use some biodynamic principles in the vineyard as well.
