Pauline and Géraud, both natives of Jura, grew up with a deep connection to winemaking. Their families owned small vineyard plots used for making wine at home, and their childhood experiences among the vines sparked their passion for wine.

The couple met while studying winemaking in Dijon and, upon returning to Jura in 2006, founded Domaine des Marnes Blanches. From the beginning, they farmed organically and gradually expanded their holdings to 12 hectares, spread across four villages in the Sud-Revermont. Their first plot in Cesancey is home to the white marl that inspired the domaine’s name, while Gevingey, Vincelles, and Ste-Agnès feature diverse soils, mainly red marl and fossil-rich limestone (gryphées).

In recent years, they built a spacious, functional winery near the main road in Ste-Agnès, allowing them to vinify and age each parcel individually. They rely on wild yeast fermentation, with whites fermented in stainless steel and aged in 228- to 500-liter barrels, at least four years old.

Their white wines focus on Ouille (topped-up) Chardonnay and Savagnin, though they also produce Vin Jaune and Vin de Paille. Since the 2016 vintage, Pauline and Géraud have been selecting special barrels of Chardonnay and Savagnin for extended aging (often 24 months rather than the usual 10-12) and bottling them as 'mise tardive,' with some cuvées released twice.

In the village of Gevingey, the lieu-dit Les Molates (also home to their Chardonnay) includes 0.7 hectares of 25-year-old Savagnin Jaune vines. Aged for 11 months in old foudres, this wine delivers classic confit lemon flavors with a distinct bitter finish. It showcases the intensity, density, and length characteristic of Savagnin ouillé from the Sud-Revermont.
