This white Rioja is 100% Tempranillo Blanco from 70 year old vines. An unusual variety, it's a mutation of the red Tempranillo grape and can only be found in the Rioja region.
Bodegas Moraza has been in the Moraza family for six generations. The vineyards are planted with native varieties and worked organically. In the cellar only traditional methods are used, and no oak is used for ageing, only concrete. The resulting wines are fresher with authentic characteristics, not what you might expect from Rioja as many producers have increasingly tailored their wines to the international market.
