The 2017 is a delicious vintage of Musso, a really elegant wine from Contra Soarda, aged over three years in a variety of barrels - barrique, Tonneaux or Grande Botti and rested in the cellar for a year before release. There is a great balance of lovely clean red fruit, juicy acidity and light tannin. The wine is dedicated to his donkeys on the estate that are as much part of the terroir here as anything else.
“Terroir? I'm part of it ". Yes, because 'Serafino, Oliva, Poméa and Burrito are part of our small production reality: four-legged mowers, weight lifters and an irreplaceable help in transporting crates and more."
Each varietal for this wine independently goes through spontaneous fermentation in steel tank. Ageing of the wine takes place over 3 years in barriques for the Merlot and Tonneaux or Grande Botti for the Pinot Nero and Marzemino. After blending the wine is rested in the cellar for one year before release.
