Having escaped lockdown London for rural life outside of Toulouse, Oriane Rosner started training with Laure & Pierre Fabre of the nearby biodynamic Domaine Gayrard, volunteering her services in the vineyards and cellar, learning everything she could.
As restrictions began to lift, she spent time pruning with Fiona Beeston in Chinon, then with Alessandra Bera in Asti, before returning to Domaine Gayrard to continue helping in the vineyards.
In 2021 she was given a little space in their cellar and took over a few rows of vines at Domaine Gayrard, among them varieties that they rarely used (Gamay, Muscadelle) and the crop from their youngest Syrah vines. Planted over clay-limestone, farming is pristine and biodynamic, and whilst Oriane is technically negocé, she knows these vineyards deeply, and farms them as if they were her own.
Named in honour of her friend Margot, who helped with pressing, GoGo is a brightly-hued Gamay aged in old barrel with no added sulphites. A juicy and textural gamay that brings something a little more than glou-glou freshness to the table.
