This Pinot Gris has been fermented on the skins, and is a beautiful pink-orange colour. Almost like an aromatic light red, it has notes of almond, bright cherry & white pepper , with fine tannins.


Jean-Pierre Rietsch grows vines on his 12 ha estate in Alsace, a family farm that goes back 7 generations. Very little sulphur is used, and the wines are made with a low-pressure pneumatic press to extract gently, with a slow fermentation and always indigenous yeasts. They are also one of the few wineries in the area to experiment with skin contact wines.
