Nicholas Joly is one of the pioneers of the biodynamic wine movement in France and widely celebrated for his wines. His Clos de la Coulée de Serrant was granted its own AOC, and dates back to the 12th century. Les Vieux Clos was planted with vines in the 1990s.
Joly takes great care in his winemaking and will harvest in several sessions to make sure grapes are perfectly ripe. Ageing takes place in neutral barrels. His wines have layers of complexity, always with great minerality & acidity. Will age well, too. Take your time and give the wine some air before drinking.
