Jordi Llorens has teamed up with his partner Cristina Vaque and started canning his sensationally balanced and vivacious wines from the Conca de Barberà in southern Catalunya.
Although the idea for CAN-VI was Cristina's from several years back Jordi was always hesitant, not wanting to cheapen his wines. It wasn't until the pandemic killed the thriving bar and restaurant culture in Conca de Barberà and Cristina and Jordi started taking bottles of wine on hikes through the hills and forests around them that they realised the convenience of this light and easy to transport format.
Cristina and Jordi now can 5 different wines. All simple, easy drinking, juicy wines that are great served chilled. Each can is 250ml, the equivalent of 2 glasses, and can be thrown easily in an ice box, backpack, satchel, tote bag or wherever you carry your bits and bobs.
All of the wines are from Jordi's own vines, canned much like the rest of Jordi's production, with no added sulphur and no fining or filtering. They are slightly earlier pickings so lower ABV, fresher and easier to drink.
