Founded by Josep Maria & Christina Pujol-Busquets in the early 1990’s, the Familia Pujol Busquets operate 2 wineries; Alta Alella & Cellar de les Aus.
The Allela region is located in the region just to the north of Barcelona and was planted not only to revitalise the region, but to also prove the terroir was special. The vineyards are planted to indigenous varieties found in the region and produced in both traditional styles and some that are more familiar to the modern wine lover. Suffice to say the dedication to the quality of fruit produced meant that organic viticulture and a hands-off approach to wine making was the order of the day. At the beginning of 2022, the Pujol-Busquets family has received the quality Integral Producer stamp from DO Cava, which recognises producers who make their wines 100% on the estate – pressing and vinification – guaranteeing the traceability of the product.
The soil here is Saulo, an acidic sandy soil low in organic matter and thus requires thoughtful siting of vineyards. The whites are north facing and where acidity and freshness make for good sparkling wines and still wines. The reds and sweet wine vineyards are southerly in aspect but harvest at what might be called the opening of the ripeness window. Extraction is kept to a minimum and small cuvees, eggs and barrels allow individual parcels to be fermented separately and raised in accordance to the vintage.
Bruant is 100% Pansa Blanca (Xarel-lo) from vines planted in the 1950’s and made with special dispensation from the authorities as the secondary ferment is made using must from the following vintage. It is produced with no added SO2 and sees no additional yeasts, other than those from the vineyard.
The Cellar de les Aus wines are all named after the native birds of the Serralada de Marina Naional Park that serenade the workers in these vineyards.

In the unlikely event that your product is damaged on arrival or if the wrong product has been delivered to you, please contact us and we will arrange for collection and exchange or reimbursement. We will reimburse you within 14 days from the date you notify us, once the items have been collected, returned to us and inspected.
Unfortunately from time to time wines or ciders may arrive out of condition, usually due to defective closures or any number of possible naturally occurring faults. If you find a bottle where you believe this is the case please contact us immediately.
You may wish to cancel your order for whatever reason after it arrives. In which case you may do so within 7 working days from receiving the order, provided the bottles are unopened, intact and in their original packaging (which must still be in its original condition). Once the goods are collected and inspected, we will reimburse you for the cost of the product minus a surcharge for collection. If you fail to make the goods available for collection within 14 days of cancellation, you will be deemed to have accepted the goods.
