THE WINE
A fresh and zesty Sauvignon Blanc from the granitic soils of Muscadet. Pressed delicately, lightly settled before fermentation at low temperature to maintain fresher aromatics. Aged on the lees for the first few months before racking, bottled in early spring 2024. A real crowd pleaser!
THE PEOPLE
The Paquereau family has owned the estate since 1900, with four generations cultivating its legacy. In 1973, Albert and Odile made viticulture the domaine’s sole focus. Their sons, Cyrille and Sylvain, joined in 2000 and 2006, stepping in as the next generation of winemakers to manage the 55-hectare estate, nearly half of which is planted with Melon de Bourgogne and the rest with 14 other grape varieties.
Albert and Odile had long practiced lutte raisonnée, a sustainable approach aimed at minimizing chemical use. Cyrille and Sylvain took this further by beginning the transition to organic farming in 2011. Their first organic Muscadet won an award, motivating them to convert the entire estate. Today, all 55 hectares are organically farmed, with the whites certified from the 2020 vintage and the reds from 2021..
THE PLACE
The wines of Clisson, a cru within the Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine appellation, are known for their structure, complexity, and aging potential. Grown on granite soils, Clisson Muscadets are made exclusively from Melon de Bourgogne and aged sur lie, giving them a rich texture and layered minerality. These wines balance freshness with depth, offering notes of ripe citrus, stone fruits, and a distinct saline edge that reflects their Atlantic influence.
