Explore the evolving world of Languedoc natural wine at our February tasting. Once known for bulk production through its massive cooperatives, Languedoc is now home to a new wave of winemakers embracing low-intervention techniques and plots of truly old vines to showcase the region’s true potential. Working against the challenges of climate change, these producers are reviving the area's rich cultural history through expressive wines made from herotage grapes of the region such as Carignan, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Picpoul, and Clairette. Taste wines from appellations like Limoux, Minervois, Corbières, and Faugères, where innovation and tradition come together to redefine this historic region.
Our tastings are relaxed group events where we open a range of wines or ciders to explore a theme, region or style. We usually taste 5-6 bottles, with some snacks available too. The tasting itself will typically take about 1.5 hours starting at 6.30pm with questions afterwards. After the tasting you're welcome to stay for more chat, drinks & nibbles if you'd like (closing 10pm).
