THE WINE
Gran Cerdo Tinto is a vibrant, unfiltered natural wine made from 100% Tempranillo, showcasing all the juicy, fresh character of the grape without the influence of oak. With whole bunch fermentation, maturation in stainless steel, no fining, and minimal sulphur use, it offers a pure expression of fruit. Its brilliant cherry-red hue is matched by lively aromas of strawberries, raspberries, cherries, violets, and clean mineral notes from granite soils. Free of funk but full of personality, it's a phenomenal value wine that pairs beautifully with roasted chicken, slow-cooked lamb shoulder with thyme, or a salad of cantaloupe melon, chorizo, and artichoke. Fresh vibrant and utterly smashable. Great 'house-wine' bargain that everyone loves.
Named in honour of the bankers that refused Gonzalo (now Wii) the initial business loan to start a winery. This wine is a staple of many wine bars and restaurants - testament to its incredible value and appeal.
THE PEOPLE
Wii Gonzalo Gonzalo, born in Logroño and raised among the vineyards of Fuenmayor—one of Rioja's key wine towns—was immersed in winemaking from an early age. After studying biology in León and oenology at the University of Rioja, Wii traveled through France and Italy, connecting with artisan growers and winemakers while exploring diverse grape varieties and techniques. In 2003, following hands-on experience at an industrial winery, Wii launched a personal oenology project. Today, together with partner Mar Mot, Wii produces wine in a modern facility in Olite, Navarra. While the family continues to sell grapes to local bodegas, they reserve the finest fruit for their own wines—approachable, unoaked, fruit-forward expressions of the region.
THE PLACE
Rejecting market-driven trends, formulas, chemical treatments, and conformity, Wii has carved out a winemaking path rooted in deep respect for the land, their vineyards, and the traditions of their ancestors. This traditional foundation is balanced with formal training in modern ecological practices, including adherence to the lunar cycle in both vineyard work and winemaking. Gran Cerdo reflects this philosophy—crafted with whole bunch fermentation, no filtration or stabilization, and minimal sulphur, it delivers a pure, unadulterated expression of fruit. The wines from Fuenmayor, where Wii’s roots run deep, continue to inspire this honest, land-driven approach, showcasing the unique vitality and heritage of the region.

In the unlikely event that your product is damaged on arrival or if the wrong product has been delivered to you, please contact us and we will arrange for collection and exchange or reimbursement. We will reimburse you within 14 days from the date you notify us, once the items have been collected, returned to us and inspected.
Unfortunately from time to time wines or ciders may arrive out of condition, usually due to defective closures or any number of possible naturally occurring faults. If you find a bottle where you believe this is the case please contact us immediately.
You may wish to cancel your order for whatever reason after it arrives. In which case you may do so within 7 working days from receiving the order, provided the bottles are unopened, intact and in their original packaging (which must still be in its original condition). Once the goods are collected and inspected, we will reimburse you for the cost of the product minus a surcharge for collection. If you fail to make the goods available for collection within 14 days of cancellation, you will be deemed to have accepted the goods.
