THE WINE
Valpolicella wines are perfect for pairing with food, best suited to dishes with tomato sauces as the acidity and freshness balances the foods need.
THE PEOPLE
Established in 1969 by Valentina and her husband, Giancarlo, the estate is an established bedrock of the organic movement in not just the region of Valpolicella but also for across Italy.
THE PLACE
Valpolicella, near Verona in northern Italy, is a historic and diverse red wine region known since ancient Roman times for its signature blends of native grapes like Corvina and Rondinella. The area’s name means "valley of many cellars," reflecting its centuries-old winemaking tradition and deep connection to viticulture. Its varied terroir features limestone, clay, and volcanic soils shaped by ancient streams and a mild climate protected by the Lessini Mountains, which combine to produce wines ranging from light, fresh reds to the renowned, full-bodied Amarone made from partially dried grapes.
